Program Description
This program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic opportunities for students at are enrolled in the Rapid City Academies. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of activities that can complement their regular academic programs including career preparation; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating student.
OBJECTIVES
- Provide a comprehensive program for 9th to 12th grade Academy School students
- Provide varied and stimulating learning opportunities
- Provide opportunities to learn and use advanced technology
- Provide support and program activities that will increase the participating students’ awareness of career choices and post secondary education and training
- Provide adult and literacy education, technology lab and instruction and parenting resources and training to parents of the participating students

- Jefferson Academy – Monday through Friday – 3:00 to 5:00 PM (Academic Tutoring)
