Office and Administrative Support  (OAS)

Overview:              This program is specifically designed to aid students in progressing to a mastery skill level in software applications training in business and industry today.

Class Schedule:

Full-Time: Meets every Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM for 12 weeks, 338 hours of instruction.

Part-Time: Meets every Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM or 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM for 24 weeks, 338 hours of classroom time.

Course Pre-requisites:

GOAL:           (reach a minimum of 25 wpm on a typing test and minimum of 80% on

computer tests)

Teaching Methods:

Student Evaluation:         The course is graded on assessments and tests. 80% or

higher is required to continue.

The Career Learning Center has prepared a definitive program of study that is aimed at providing information relating to business and industry today.

The course curriculum is presented in a chapter format. The programs are Word level 1 & 2, Excel level 1 & 2, Access level 1 & 2 and PowerPoint. Different areas of study are: 10-key, data entry, keyboarding, and resume development.
