Overview:
The Medical Insurance Biller is involved in every phase of medical insurance billing from receiving patient information through receipt of payment. In this course, you will be responsible for insurance card interpretation, coding procedures, understanding and complying with insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, Worker’s Compensation and other requirements. This course has an in-depth training in compliance and auditing of claims. Course includes HIPAA laws, and MediSoft patient software instruction. National certification exam via the American Medical Billers Association. *This is an additional cost.

The distance instructor is available via email Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 3:30 pm. Instructor is also available to meet with student on a one to one basis during nonworking hours. All courses are complete with all of the study materials that are needed for each course.
