Advanced Medical Coding and Compliance

Overview:     Students will use the coding concepts learned in the Basic Medical Coding and Compliance course and apply their expertise in coding advance scenarios with the CPT, ICD-9-CM, and HCPCS manuals. It is expected that upon completion of course, students will be prepared to sit for the national certification exam via the American Academy of Professional Coders. *This is an additional cost.

Prerequisites: Medical Terminology, Basic Medical Coding

The distance instructor is available via email Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 3:30 pm. Instructor is also available to meet with student on a one to one basis during nonworking hours. All courses are complete with all of the study materials that are needed for each course.
