Dodie Anderson's Bio

Dodie Anderson, Coordinator/Instructor of the Medical Reimbursement Program at the Career Learning Center of the Black Hills since January 2004. She instructs Medical Terminology, Basic Medcial Coding and Compliance, Advanced Medical Coding and Compliance as well as Medical Insurance Billing Compliance and Auditing courses. All courses are distance courses, and she is available for the students at their convenience.

Dodie is credentialed with the American Academy of Professional Coders and the American Medical Billing Association. She will sit for the Compliance and Auditing credentialing examination June, 2010.
Dodie is a reviewer and technical reviewer of medical text books working with Elsevier Publishing Company, Cengage Learning, and Thomson-Delmar Publishing. She co-authored an instructor’s manual for Step-by-Step Medical Coding by Carol Buck. Dodie held the office of Education Officer for the Spearfish Chapter of the AAPC in 2006. Currently Dodie is a member of the Rapid City Chapter. She is an active member of the organization, proctoring examinations, and assisting with State Conferences.

Dodie is an active volunteer in the American Legion Auxiliary Post 22, the local Cancer Care Institute and the Veteran’s Administration hospital in Sturgis.
